Abingdon-on-Thames and Fairtrade

The Abingdon Fairtrade group was officially reformed in May 2011 as a sub group of the Chamber of Commerce. The group consists of a cross section of the community. The aim of the group is to promote the use & availability of Fairtrade products that can be purchased with in Abingdon

On 3rd March 2012, in the middle of Fairtrade Fortnight, Abingdon was given the title of a Fairtrade Town. The certificate was presented to the Mayor, Councillor Michael Badcock a Fairtrade Market organise by the Chamber Fairtrade group. There was a wide range of products & information available throughout the day, all from local businesses & organisations. Fair trade products.
